Bergstrom Expressway Toll Road

Central Texas Regional Mobility Authority picked Adisa to spearhead their $750 million Bergstrom Expressway project. Adisa was responsible for: working with neighborhood leaders and bicycle advocates, managing the project website, community meeting planning, logistics, assembled a team of landscape architects, project engineers and Mobility Staff that produced a Context Sensitive Solution (CSS) plan that was approved by the Board.

Old San Antonio Road at Onion Creek Bridge

Travis County selected Adisa to implement a clear messaging strategy to address the concerns of citizens regarding the historical Old San Antonio Road Bridge.   In consideration of the historical significance of the Old San Antonio Road only two proposed alternatives were up for discussion.   Of the two alternatives comprised of minimal land availability to erect a new bridge, only one alternative offered safe pedestrian and cyclists accessibility.

EastLink Austin

EastLink is an opportunity to connect an existing series of disconnected trails and pathways in East Austin into a fully connected five-mile multi-use path connecting to Lady Bird Lake and Downtown. Adisa was asked to build a coalition of community, neighborhood and political leaders devoted to ensuring that the idea of filling in gaps and upgrading existing facilities becomes a reality.

Our strategy was to build a diverse coalition of support for the project that represents grassroots and grasstops voices. This included maintaining a project website to keep the community informed and engaged through project updates, maps, renderings, and videos. The website can be found at

To date, Adisa’s outreach efforts have resulted in more than 30 community meetings and a 75% increase in supporters of EastLink.

Capital Metro DBE Business Participation Program

In an effort to increase the amount of business Capital Metro does with minority and disadvantaged contractors, Adisa was retained by Capital Metro’s to redefine their approach in working with the DBE contractor community. Adisa engaged the Capital Metro staff during meetings which outlined the legal and policy-related parameters for the DBE program. Adisa facilitated roundtable and 1-on-1 with DBE contractors.

Mueller Airport Redevelopment Plan

The City of Austin selected Adisa to write and facilitate its public presentation of the Robert Mueller Airport master plan. The master plan was implemented and well received by neighbor leaders, property owners, and city policy makers. The master plan included: governance planning and transportation, environmental impact findings, land uses, and financial tools.
