Neill-Cochran House Museum (NCHM)
“If These Walls Could Talk”
The Assignment
After discovering slave quarters on the museum grounds, NCHM wanted to devise new and innovative ways to prompt community conversations and promote racial healing while bringing awareness to this important piece of Austin’s history.
The Adisa Team Solution
Working with museum staff, the Adisa Communications team came up with a provocative and groundbreaking interactive exhibit dubbed If These Walls Could Talk, telling the history of Black artisans who built the antebellum home in West Austin and celebrating the stories residing in the fabric of Austin’s history. The Adisa team also assisted in developing a digital campaign to focus on the numerous events hosted in conjunction with the exhibit opening, increase public participation, and raise funds; developed the social media content strategy, assisted with filming video footage, and coordinated the media buy for the event.
The Result
The Adisa team was able to successfully promote the event through its digital campaign and successfully place the story in regional media outlets, creating and delivering a successful event for NCHM.
